Just a few days ago, started the 27th edition of the UNFCCC Climate Conference, more commonly known as COP (Conference of the Parties), which will be held until the 18th of November in Egypt, Sharm el-Sheikh.
Aequilibria is participating fully, and its contribution takes shape not only in the physical presence and participation of Daniele Pernigotti (CEO), but also in the organisation of two side-events, which will be held in the Italian Pavilion, and in the collaboration and active participation in other appointments and events.
The first event organised by Aequilibria will be held this evening, Thursday November 10th, from 6 to 8 p.m. (local time), and will focus on the international role of the ISO standards on carbon management, which are widely applied worldwide.
We will be honoured to have with us Sergio Mujica, Secretary General of ISO, an extremely knowledgeable figure on environmental sustainability issues and a leading figure on the international scene. He will open the debate and speak about the practical value of international standards in converting words, intentions and commitments into climate action.

The second event will be held on Saturday November 12th, from 10.30 to 12.30, and will focus on the Carbon Footprint International Alliance: this important cooperation aims to overcome the risk that the experiences of national carbon accounting programmes are limited and only recognised within national borders. For this reason, we will talk with leading representatives of the various carbon accounting programmes about how the international awareness on this reality can be raised.
This event will also be an opportunity to present the new accession of the Thai GHG Programme Operator to the Alliance, adhering to the decision to strengthen collaboration on the international recognition of Carbon Footprint labels.

Finally, Daniele will be guest speaker at a panel discussion organised by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO) at the UN Climate Change Pavilion entitled "Net-Zero Tranformation: D-emission for Our Sustainable Future". Daniele will bring as a contribution the experience of tools derived from voluntary standardisation, and in particular the quantification of the carbon footprint. The event, which will be held on Wednesday November 16th from 10 to 11 a.m. (local time), will be web streamed. At the following link you will find all the updated information.
