The final voting ended on November 24 with the approval of UNI's proposal to create a new CEN Technical Committee responsible for the development of voluntary European legislation on climate change.
The new Committee will have a fundamental role in the development of new European standards to support the implementation of the political strategy on sustainable development that was outlined with the entry into force of the European Green Deal.
Italy will lead the new Technical Committee.
Another important novelty on the climate change front is the publication of ISO 14065 on December 1, 2020.
