NASA has accustomed us to fantastic animations able to make us understand the state of the planet's climate in its various forms.
It is known, for example, the annual minimum extension of the ice at the end of the Arctic summer.
In this new animation of the Arctic, the continuous variation of extension is displayed, from 1984 to present, recording both the increase in surface during the winter period and its reduction due to fusion in the summertime.
The feeling is of an amazing natural "breath", that shows more and more its "shortness".
It is interesting to observe, in addition, the colour variation, with the reduction of full white, that represents the older ice with an age of more than 5 years, in favour of the annual ice.
Another aspect that highlights the poor state of health of our Arctic ice.
