Under revision the accreditation standards of environmental assessments and audits

The revision works of ISO 14065, the accreditation standard for EU ETS and for all the other GHG verification activities, are starting today in Zhuhai, China, and will continue throughout the whole week. The scope of the standard, however, has been extended to all environmental assessments and audits and will therefore have even greater resonance and application in the near future. In general terms, the validation and verification activities will also be defined by the new standard being developed by ISO/CASCO, the part of ISO that deals with conformity assessment, the future ISO 17029, whose works started in Geneva last week. Daniele Pernigotti is the Italian representative for the development works of ISO 14065 and is also part of the Italian delegation responsible for developing ISO 17029.
