Very interesting signals from the Bonn zone (area dedicated to conferences, exhibitions and exchanges of experiences), where the actions already implemented by the various stakeholders were illustrated.
It is worth highlighting, for example, the innovative Norwegian experience of electrical mobility in the naval sector (with already in-use ferries and container carrier vessels in an advanced level of development), the discussion opened on carbon pricing or the reform of subsidies to fossil fuels.
On the negotiating side (Bula zone), it is interesting to note the creation of new tools to better recognize the role of both women and indigenous peoples in combating climate change.
Also important was the presence of "anti-Trump" USA on climate change, with the presence of governors of States committed to the forefront for climate change (e.g. California and Oregon) and from the Area America with climate actions outside the official areas and substituting the USA Climate Center, for years important reference for scientific and political discussion within COPs.
But beyond the UNFCCC budget, what is the situation for our planet in terms of CO2 emissions? Last year's data seem to reverse a stagnating world emissions trend or slow regression, as shown in the Future Earth's video on Global Carbon Budget 2017.
The COP 23 slogan has been "Further, Faster, Together".
Now it has to be made concrete.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type="in_container" full_screen_row_position="middle" scene_position="center" text_color="dark" text_align="left" overlay_strength="0.3"][vc_column column_padding="no-extra-padding" column_padding_position="all" background_color_opacity="1" background_hover_color_opacity="1" width="1/1" tablet_text_alignment="default" phone_text_alignment="default"][vc_video link="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWKFxbA-T94"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
