The last edition of the Global Footprint Network on the environmental footprint of the individual countries of the world was published last week.
The study is updated to 2014 data, covers over 200 countries and shows relevant improvements compared to the past, also in terms of data quality.
The environmental footprint is an effective representation of the impact of a person or a country, expressed in terms of space needed to support one's lifestyle.
The situation in Italy is gradually improving compared to 2010-2011, when our lifestyle required a triple space of that actually available in our country. Now we need "only" 2.5 Italy(s).
Better than in the past ... but still too many, since we have only one available.
