For the first time, the number of bicycles on the city streets has exceeded\u00a0 that of passenger car.<\/p>\n
No wonder that this happens in the Danish capital, for many years committed to radically transform its urban mobility in a sustainable perspective.<\/p>\n
This is an opportunity to think about the significance of the “renewed” centrality of bicycle. In the past it was a symbol of economic backwardness, when the Chinese roads invaded by bicycle represented a signal of underdevelopment.<\/p>\n
Today the opposite is true. The Bicycle has space in most developed and sustainable countries. Those who invest in parallel on renewable energy and are determined to accelerate the exit from \u00a0the fossil fuel economy.<\/p>\n
Side effects are the increased livability of streets and towns and the greater healthiness of the citizens, that, using the bicycle, improve their overall health.<\/p>\n
We just need to choose between the streets\u00a0 of Copenhagen and those of New Delhi…<\/p>\n
