The Dutch-English oil company Shell immediately reacted to the Dutch ban on gasoline and diesel car by 2030, acquiring New Motion, one of the largest electric vehicle charging nets.<\/p>\n<p>Shell has started providing charging points for electric vehicles at some of its retail stations and said the acquisition of NewMotion would help it offer a full raft of electric vehicle services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s announcement is an early step towards ensuring customers can access a range of refuelling choices over the coming decades,\u201d said Matthew Tipper, Shell\u2019s vice president for new fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Shell did not previously own any equity in Dutch company NewMotion and declined to comment on the size of the deal.<\/p>\n<p>NewMotion operates more than 30,000 electric charging points in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Britain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uk.reuters.com\/article\/uk-newmotion-m-a-shell\/shell-buys-newmotion-charging-network-in-first-electric-vehicle-deal-idUKKBN1CH1R5\">Click here<\/a> to read the original article.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The transition towards the electric car in the Netherlands seems faster than expected.
