Last week Accredia<\/a> hosted in its headquarters in Rome the joint working group among ISO\/TC 207\/SC7 (Climate Change), SC2 (Environmental auditing) and ISO\/CASCO responsible for the revision of ISO 14065. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standard is already used by Accredia<\/a> for the accreditation of the verification activities in the GHG fields, such as the ETS, the CFP and the GHG Inventory of organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revision was needed to adapt the requirements of the standard to the forthcoming ISO 17029, generally dedicated to accreditation for every kind of verification and validation activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another fundamental reason for the revision of ISO 14065 is the broadening of the standard’s scope from the mere GHG emissions verification and validation activities to those of EVERY environmental information. In a near future this will have important implications even for other verification activities widely spread on the market such as, for example, the EPD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the working week in Rome it has been confirmed the decision of circulating the standard in the DIS version, that will be discussed in France in June 2020, with a perspective of publication at the beginning of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
