{"id":9404,"date":"2021-03-04T09:51:22","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T09:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aequilibria.com\/?p=9404"},"modified":"2026-05-25T20:34:57","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T18:34:57","slug":"signature-of-the-first-mou-between-carbon-footprint-italy-and-the-climate-registry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aequilibria.com\/en\/signature-of-the-first-mou-between-carbon-footprint-italy-and-the-climate-registry\/","title":{"rendered":"Signature of the first MoU between Carbon Footprint Italy and The Climate Registry"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>first<\/strong> Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the international network of carbon footprint communication programmes, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/carbonfootprintinternational.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carbon Footprint International<\/a>, has been signed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Italian Programme Operator, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carbonfootprintitaly.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carbon Footprint Italy<\/a>, has signed <em>the basic recognition agreement<\/em> between <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theclimateregistry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Climate Registry<\/a>, with the purpose of <strong>promoting<\/strong> the <strong>cooperation<\/strong> between national Programmes Operators on <strong>carbon footprint<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This represents the first step of the <strong>mutual recognition process<\/strong> between national Programme Operators, as reported on the draft standard currently under development, the <strong>ISO 14029<\/strong> on \u201c<em>Mutual recognition agreements between Type III Environmental Declaration (EPD) Programme Operators \u2014 Principles and procedures<\/em>\u201d. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This important goal should represent the first step towards the implementation of <strong>multi-lateral agreements<\/strong> between <strong>POs<\/strong>, that at the moment are only bilateral.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the international network of carbon footprint communication programmes, Carbon Footprint International, has been signed.
