{"id":9874,"date":"2022-10-06T08:31:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T08:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aequilibria.com\/?p=9874"},"modified":"2022-10-06T08:31:02","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T08:31:02","slug":"big-news-in-the-carbon-footprint-international-alliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aequilibria.com\/en\/2022\/10\/06\/big-news-in-the-carbon-footprint-international-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"Big news in the Carbon Footprint International Alliance!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just a few weeks ago, a new member joined the Carbon Footprint International Alliance, also known as CFIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Namely, on September 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2022, Thailand\u2019s national programme, the <strong><em>Thai Carbon Labelling scheme<\/em><\/strong>, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), officially becoming part of CFIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This membership represents an important step forward and the further enlargement of an international group whose goal is to ensure effective quantification and reporting of Carbon Footprints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Thai programme operator joins the four programmes that, in the context of last year\u2019s COP26 in Glasgow, agreed to strengthen their collaboration toward the international recognition of Carbon Footprint labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, <strong>at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh<\/strong>, the now five programmes will come together at the <strong>\u201cCFIA: The Alliance for more consistent carbon footprints<\/strong>\u201d event, which will take place <strong>on Saturday, November 12<sup>th<\/sup>, at 10:30 a.m. <\/strong>(local time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting will be a time to talk about the international experience of CO<sub>2<\/sub> programme operators and the challenge of global cooperation in developing global greenhouse gas emission registries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just a few weeks ago, a new member joined the Carbon Footprint International Alliance, also known as CFIA.
