Today in Panama ISO/TC 207 working group WG5 has started its activity with the mandate to produce the ISO 14001 revision within the next year.
The goal of the meeting, which will end next Wednesday, is to advance the draft standard from CD2 to DIS level.There are still many open questions, starting with the relationship between risk and environmental aspects. The importance of the issues under discussion and the amount of work to deal with, favored the choice of an earlier start of the WG5 than the official opening of the annual plenary meeting of ISO/TC 207, scheduled for Sunday, May 25th.
