It’s time for training on ETS directive

South Korea has long developed its own national ETS scheme (KETS), currently under revision. The objective is also to increase its compatibility with the European scheme, in order to foster the creation of a single international carbon trading platform. In this regard, an important workshop was held last week in Seoul with the various stakeholders who manage the various aspects of KETS. Daniele Pernigotti and English verifier have also attended the meeting, in order to share the ETS experience. This was the occasion to discuss the European accreditation system of verification bodies and recruiting of ETS verifiers in the three phases of European ETS. The training appointments at European level, however, continue also this week. Daniele Pernigotti, in fact, today and tomorrow will be in Bruxelles, as one of the moderators of the annual training meeting organised by the European Commission between the representatives of verifiers, accreditation bodies, competent authorities of the whole EU.
