The new ISO 14067 standard on Carbon Footprint of product was presented on Wednesday 12th September in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The speech by Daniele Pernigotti, convenor of the ISO working group responsible for the development of the standard, took place during the annual seminar of the Asia Carbon Footprint Network (ACFN), the main Asian association of programme operators for the CFP.
Pernigotti reiterated the importance of promoting the adoption of the entire ISO package for GHG verification and its accreditation (ISO 14064-3 and ISO 14065), in order to adopt a consistent approach in the various countries, an essential prerequisite to possibly obtain the sign of an MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) on a global level.
Following, there has been the presentation of the interesting national cases of Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.
