Two major accreditation bodies, ANSI and ANAB, have recently merged to form the new main reference for guiding the development of accreditation process in the US.
The new subject has maintained the name of ANAB, but the acronym takes on a different meaning (ANSI National Accreditation Board), in order to symbolize the intimate fusion between the two subjects.
The merger was presented last week in Nashville by Lane Hallenbeck, Executive Director of ANAB, during the first joint annual meeting of assessors that joined the new accreditation body.
The three days of work were also an opportunity for Daniele Pernigotti - recently qualified as Lead Technical Assessor for GHG by ANSI - to present in front of colleagues working in the same field, the new ISO 14067 on the Carbon Footprint of a Product that is expected to find a growing interest even overseas.
