Heat wave smashes temperature records across Europe, with Germany, Netherlands and Belgium reached new records highs, of 41.5°C, 40.7°C and 41.8°C respectively. A red alert was issued in Northern France, as Paris hit 42.6°C, setting an all-time high temperature record.
It’s very hot even in the mountains with more than 10°C on the top of Mont Blanc, and the village of Zermatt experienced a raging flood, caused not by heavy rainfalls, but by the melting glacier from Monte Rosa.
And yet, despite all this, there is still someone who claims about climate change that "this alarmism is not justified" and he says so as an important researcher at the University of Naples Federico II. The statements of Nicola Scafetta, who is among the promoters of the deniers scientists’ petition circulated a few weeks ago, have been often disproved by the meticulous work lead by "Climalteranti".
Obviously, it is not aimed at restricting the freedom of thought and everybody must remain free to think that the current climate change is caused by cosmic rays or that the Earth is flat. A consideration is worthy when this happens in one of the university’s classrooms where the future generation of scientist of the Country will be educated.
