The spread of electric car has made IEA to revise their provisions on fossil fuels
The new policy of India and China to promote the spread of electric car push the IEA (International Energy Agency) to review its forecast on fossil fuel consumption for the automotive sector and the diffusion of electric propulsion vehicles.
The Chinese road map of last April predicts to get by 2025 to have 1/5 of the 35 million vehicles circulating with alternative fuel.
Even more radical is the action of India, where an important government “think-tank” has drafted a report supporting the electrification of all vehicles by 2032.
Please note that, according to IEA data, China and India consume respectively 11% and 2% of the global gasoline demand.
Understandable therefore the reason why IEA considers already surpassed its provisions, published only last November, of a growth until 2040 of fossil fuel consumption for vehicles.
