Last year’s peak of electric cars sales was very close to mark the symbolic overtaking of diesel cars sales. Still, the current one is supported by a curve that leaves no room for doubts: it is going to be definitive!
It represents, in fact, the contact point between the inevitable decline of diesel cars and the equally inevitable growth of electric ones. An increase that is going to be stable over time, and is destined to meet, in the coming years, the level of petrol cars.
Can we already predict when this will happen? It is inevitable to assume it is going to be during this decade.
A scenario that should lead the Italian automotive sector - and the ministries of the Italian government - to promote the evolution of the car industry towards a conversion that cannot be postponed anymore. Otherwise, our industry will suffer heavily from this transition, rather than managing by adapting to change.
